DaVelocirapter: Small but deadly

This dino's name was Velociraptor, meaning swift raptor. In this case raptor means a dromaedosaurid dinosaur from the late cretaceous period, which was when the Velociraptor lived (80-85 million years ago). Now don't ask me what a dromaedosaurid means! Its a Latin word, even though the Velociraptor was found in Mongolia, where they certainly did not speak Latin! (OK, in Latin, velox means swift and raptor means robber)

The Veloci wasn't really very big... 3 feet tall and 5-6 feet long. That's almost as if you asked your big brother to jump on all fours! The only difference would be that the Veloci wouldn't beat you for stealing his tablet (he doesn't even have a tablet).

The Veloci had a sickle like claw on his toe which made him a formidable predator. I prefer a Veloci any day to a big brother!
